Description: Dwarf densely tufted or mat-forming perennial herb, rootstock stout, often branched  at apex, covered with old leaf-bases. Leaves pinnate with numerous narrowly lobed leaflets; very variable, 2.5-5 cm, oblong, with densely grouped leaflets spreading forwards and upward, silky beneath. Flowers usually solitary, yellow, 1-1.3 cm across; flowering stems 2-3 cm, leafless; petals rounded to obovate, much longer than the woolly-haired calyx.


Use: Root powder strengthens gums, and relieves toothache.
